As we take a closer look at each of the cards I created last night, I want you to notice how just a subtle change can completely transform a card. Each of the eight cards is just a little bit different, showing you a variety of design options you can choose from using the same cut pieces.
I’m sure there are even more ways to use these pieces than what I’m sharing with you here, but think of these designs as your starting point—a way to spark your creativity and inspire you to experiment. By changing the orientation, layering, sentiment placement, or embellishments, you can easily make each card your own.
That’s the beauty of one sheet wonder cards—a single sheet of designer series paper can give you endless possibilities and help you create a stunning collection of handmade cards with ease.
The Brushed With Beauty Suite of Products includes a couple of beautiful bundles that coordinate perfectly with the designer series paper. For these cards, I used both the Words of Beauty Bundle and the Petals of Beauty Bundle, which complement the floral designs wonderfully and add just the right sentiments and details.
I also brought in the Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder to add texture and dimension to my cards. Embossing is such a simple way to elevate a design, and this folder pairs beautifully with the Brushed With Beauty paper.
Since I was creating my cards for a specific occasion, I also incorporated the Banner Sayings Bundle. While this bundle is currently sold out, it is expected to be back in the Stampin’ Up! warehouse the week of January 26, 2026—so be sure to keep an eye out if it’s on your wish list!
The only difference between Card #2 and Card #3 is the position of the Brushed With Beauty floral print. On Card #2, the designer series paper is placed in a horizontal direction, stretching across the entire card front. On Card #3, the same piece is turned vertically and covers just the center portion of the card front.
Even though the layouts are exactly the same, simply changing the direction of the focal piece gives each card a completely different look. This is a great example of how small adjustments can have a big impact—and one of the reasons I love creating one sheet wonder cards with patterned paper.
For Card #4, I used the exact same layout as Card #3, with just one simple adjustment. Instead of having a bit of the Very Vanilla embossed piece showing, I adhered the strip all the way to the left-hand side of the card front. Just as before, I added the focal point to the center of the card.
That small shift—moving the designer series paper strip to the left edge—completely changes the look of the card. It’s a perfect example of how subtle placement changes can give you a fresh design while still using the same one sheet wonder cut pieces.
Card #5 is my faux illusion card. I used the two small 3/4″ x 2″ pieces that were cut off from the 2″ strips of Brushed With Beauty Designer Series Paper. These pieces were adhered to each side of the embossed Very Vanilla cardstock.
Once the focal point was added to the center of the card, it creates the illusion that the strip of Brushed With Beauty Designer Series Paper runs across the entire length of the card front. It’s a fun and clever way to stretch your one sheet wonder cut pieces while adding visual interest to your design.
Card #6 is a pretty basic design, but don’t let that sway your opinion—this card is still beautiful and also quick and easy to create. Sometimes the simplest layouts really let the designer series paper shine, making them perfect for when you need a lovely handmade card in a hurry.
Card #7 is very similar to Card #6; the only difference is that I changed the orientation from vertical to horizontal and switched up the cardstock colors a bit.
For this card, I matted the Brushed With Beauty Designer Series Paper onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, then layered that onto a slightly larger piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock. This layered panel was added to the embossed Very Vanilla piece, which was then adhered to my Mossy Meadow card base.
Just like with the previous cards, changing the direction and layering is an easy way to create a fresh look while still using the same one sheet wonder cut pieces.
Card #8 features a similar layout to the previous cards, but this time I switched my card base to Very Vanilla and embossed the Mossy Meadow layer. I also matted the Brushed With Beauty Designer Series Paper onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.
It’s amazing how much of a difference you can achieve just by changing the combination of your cardstock bases and mats. This is a perfect example of how simple tweaks can make each one sheet wonder card feel unique while still using the same cut pieces.
