With just one 12″ x 12″ sheet, I created five different Book Binding One Sheet Wonder Card Techniques. With just one sheet of Designer Series Paper, you’ll be amazed at how many beautiful Book Binding cards you can create. Let’s get started!

Card #1 – Book Binding Explosion Card
Why do I call it an Explosion Card? Because when you open it up, the Designer Series Paper seems to burst open, revealing the gorgeous print inside along with a perfect space to stamp or write your message.

The sentiment on all the cards comes from the coordinating Impressions Abloom stamp set, and I used the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch to punch it out. I also shared a fun trick for creating a two-toned sentiment—simply attach a strip of Basic White cardstock to a piece of Early Espresso cardstock before punching. The result is a layered look that really makes the sentiment pop!

Sale Spotlight! Add a touch of sparkle and elegance to your cards with these limited-time deals: the Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems and the Darling Duckling Ribbon are both on sale this month! Card #2 – Book Binding Gatefold Card
For the focal point on this card, I used the leftover 2″ x 2″ square from my One Sheet Wonder pattern. It was the perfect way to add a coordinating element to the front of the card and tie the whole design together beautifully.

The sentiment was die-cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies, giving it a clean and polished look. I finished it off with just a simple knot of Darling Duckling Ribbon and a few gems for the perfect touch of sparkle.

Card #3 – Book Binding Z-Fold Card
This fun fold is perfect for any occasion, but I created mine as a thank you card. The Z-Fold design adds a playful interactive element while still leaving plenty of space inside for your message.

For the sentiment, I simply stamped it on a piece of Basic White cardstock using Early Espresso ink and punched it out with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. The strip of Early Espresso cardstock underneath the punched sentiment tie in beautifully with the front panel. To finish it off, I added another Darling Duckling ribbon knot and a few clear gems for sparkle.

Card #4 – Fancy Fold Book Binding Card
This fold is surprisingly simple to create! By cutting off a section of the card front on the diagonal and adding a panel to the center, you instantly get a unique opening while still leaving plenty of room inside to stamp or write your message.

For the card front, the focal point is simply a couple of layered squares, with the sentiment stamped in the bottom right-hand corner. This leaves plenty of space to hand-cut a few daisies from the Designer Series Paper and pop them up for added dimension and interest.

Card #5 – Triangle Easel Book Binding Card
This card has such a fun interactive twist! To create the triangle easel effect, start by cutting your Designer Series Paper on the diagonal from the top right-hand corner to the bottom left-hand corner. Attach each diagonal section of DSP to either side of the diagonal score line.

Once your base is ready, add a focal point. This could be a larger die cut, but for my version I layered a couple of squares and then hand-cut some daisies from another print in the paper pack. The fussy-cut flowers add beautiful dimension and bring the design together.

Important! Do not attach the top diagonal portion of your focal square to the card front. Only adhere the square to the bottom diagonal section—otherwise, your card will no longer work as an easel.

For the inside, I used my remaining strip of Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper and added a punched sentiment, popped up on dimensionals. This acts as the stopper that holds the easel open when the card is showcased.

And there you have it—five unique Book Binding One Sheet Wonder Card Techniques using the Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper! From explosion folds to easel cards, each design shows just how far one 12″ x 12″ sheet can go. Don’t forget, you can watch the video replay to see each fold step-by-step and follow along. I hope these ideas inspire you to give them a try—and stay tuned, because I’ve already got even more Book Binding card designs coming your way!

Fun Fact: If you haven’t noticed, you can easily create the last four cards in the same style! Since the Designer Series Paper is initially cut the same way for each, it’s simple to swap out folds or focal points and make multiple unique cards from the same sheet.
