Heat Embossing With Cheers To The Season Stamp Set

cheers to the season stamp set with stamping techniques

Over the course of a few weeks I’ve been showing the different stamping techniques that you can do with the Cheers to the Season stamp set. This set is very versatile when it comes to occasions as well as techniques. Come check it out.

These are the final two cards using this fun and versatile stamp set.  This set will take you through your Fall events and occasions, Christmas and into the New Year.   On these two cards I used the Heat Embossing technique on the goblet or so pretty and sparkly.

I’ve already showed you a few different fall themed cards with the leaf image from this stamp set.  I used a direct ink to stamp method and then a few different cards showing different baby wipe techniques.    If you missed those blog post you can catch them HERE and HERE.  I then took you into Christmas with a card created with the marker technique and you can find that post HERE.

Let’s Take a Closer Look at these New Years Cards Using the Cheers to the Season Stamp Set:

For both of the cards I embossed the goblet using Versamark ink and Silver embossing powder.   I then hand cut out the goblets for each of the cards.   The background basic white cardstock on this card was embossed with the Crosshatch embossing folder which is part of the 3 pack of Online Exclusive Basics 3D Embossing Folders.  These folders are only available online and you can find them HERE.  I also embossed the square piece which was die cut using the Stylish Shapes dies as was the Pretty Peacock square mat piece.  (Note: die cut your shapes first then emboss if you do it the other way around you will lose some of the embossed details.)

Then I used the Tartan Foil Specialty Designer Series Paper strips down the center.  This paper pack is just gorgeous and is only available online as well and you can find it in the list with the Basics Folders link shown above.

The Happy New Year sentiment on this card is from the Year to Celebrate stamp set found on page 62 of the mini catalog.  This is a super cute set that can be used for any occasion that you are celebrating; birthdays, congrats and especially New Years Eve!

To bring out the silver embossing I used the Rhinestones and Silver trim to finish it off into a nice elegant New Years card

Cheers Card #2

designer series paper stamping techniques

For card #2 I did the same embossing stamping technique as the first card except I brought in the Nested Essentials dies and used a full 4 x 5 1/4 piece of that gorgeous Tartan Foil Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Love this paper with the Pretty Peacock cardstock, silver and white or so stunning.

You might be wondering how I got that little splash of Pretty Peacock ink across the bottom of the nested die to make it look like the goblet was set on a table.  Well I used that splash or splotch stamp from the Cheers to the Season stamp set.  It worked perfectly don’t. you agree?

You will notice on this card I didn’t add any additional sentiment to the front so this card could be used for a wedding, retirement, birthday any occasion you are celebrating really.

So there you have it; I’ve completed all the seasons and then some with this fun stamp set.  I’ve taken you from Fall , Thanksgiving, Christmas and into the New Year; but this set doesn’t end there as you can see you can use it all year long for weddings with the “Cheer” glass; Cheer’s to the happy couple for a wedding or anniversary!

Let’s recap all the stamping techniques and cards I’ve done with this beautiful set:
