How to Use Quick and Easy Card Sketch Ideas for Multiple Card Designs

quick and easy card sketch ideas
If you’ve ever wondered how to use quick and easy card sketch ideas for multiple card designs, today’s cards are the perfect example. One of the best things about using card sketches is that they take the guesswork out of designing your cards while still allowing you to be creative. For Card Sketch #62, I used the exact same layout to create two completely different cards. One features the beautiful Scenic Coast Designer Series Paper, while the other showcases the fun and whimsical Spooktacular Designer Series Paper. Even though the occasions are completely different, the sketch works perfectly for both, proving that a great layout can be used again and again with any Designer Series Paper you have on hand.

Scenic Coast Designer Series Paper Card

With the layout, you can see how this card matches the sketch perfectly. The Scenic Coast Designer Series Paper is truly the showstopper of this card, with the beautiful coastal prints doing most of the work for you.

To complete the design, I used the Sunset Coast Bundle. This bundle includes both the sentiments and coordinating dies needed to create the perfect finishing touches for your coastal scenes. For this card, I created the sailboat by die cutting it twice—once from Blueberry Bushel Cardstock and a second time from Crushed Curry Cardstock. I then hand-cut the sail portion from the Crushed Curry die cut and layered it onto the Blueberry Bushel sailboat for a pop of color against the scenic background.

The sentiment was added across the bottom of the card, and I finished the design with a few Sunset Sparkle Sequins for a little extra shimmer and shine.

This card is a great example of how quick and easy card sketch ideas can help you create beautiful handmade cards in just minutes. When you pair a simple sketch with gorgeous Designer Series Paper, most of the designing is already done for you, making card making both fun and stress-free.

Spooktacular Designer Series Paper Card

For this Spooktacular Designer Series Paper card, I used the exact same layout as the Scenic Coast card. This time, I made a small adjustment by moving the center square slightly to the left side of the card front. This gave me the perfect amount of space to add my sentiment in the bottom right-hand corner.

The fun Halloween prints from the Spooktacular Designer Series Paper do all the work in creating this festive card. By simply changing the paper and adding a few coordinating embellishments, the same card sketch takes on a completely different look.

To finish off this super cute Halloween card, I added the Adhesive-Backed Bats, Ghosts & Dots. These fun embellishments add just the right amount of detail and bring the whole design together.

This card is another great example of how quick and easy card sketch ideas can be used for multiple card designs. Whether you’re creating a coastal card, a holiday card, or something for a special occasion, one simple layout can give you endless possibilities.
