Create fun interactive Valentine’s Day Cards the kids will love. Who am I kidding the kids aren’t the only ones who will love these wobble cards. The little bee on the front wobbles when you flick it. So fun and how cute is that? Create your wobble card today! Your first question is probably where do I get the wobble mechanism. I got them from Amazon and I’ll give you the link below the shopping list.
This sweet little bee is from the mini catalog on page 10, you’ll see the stamp set and coordinating punch. This is part of the Bee Mine Suite found on pages 8 and 9 of the mini catalog. I used the Bee Mine Designer Series Paper and the Bee My Valentine Bundle on this card.
I consider this a slimline card as it is only 3 1/4″ wide but it is 5 1/2″ long so it fits perfectly inside the regular A2 envelope. This card may be slim but it packs a bunch with it’s multi-opening feature and the amount of sentiments you can add to your card.
This is the first flap open which reveals the wobble bee and another little sentiment. I love the bee hive paper behind my bee and the soft Petal Pink color is perfect for the littles. You can create your bee however you like using the stamps and the coordinating punch. I made my bee different on the second card as I’m giving my cards to my granddaughter’s and wanted them to be a bit different.
See the Bee on this card has only the one set of wings showing and the first card has 2 pairs of wings showing. Each bee is just slightly different, as is the flower colors I added to the card front. These little flowers are part of the suite from the mini catalog and they are the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers. I got a package of these to give to the girls so they can bling up their cards as much as they like. They have so much fun with the bling, so it’s less stressful for me to just give them a whole package of their own instead of using up mine.
Here is the final opening of the card as you can see the cut circle from the front of the card has found it’s way to the inside of the card; with the final sentiment and of course another little bee. This bee was hand cut from a piece of the Bee Mine Designer Series Paper.
That’s it, as easy as one, two, three and your card is complete.
Well you know I couldn’t just stop at Valentine’s Day cards, I had to use my favorite Flight & Airy Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper.
This card was created the same way as the Bee cards except my little bird on the branch does not wobble. I also embossed the front of the card with the FREE Sale-a-bration Softly Sophisticated embossing folder. I love this embossing folder with the Flight & Airy paper. The sentiment is from the Go To Greetings stamp set and the Stylish Shapes dies were used for the banner.
The circle on my cards can be created with the 2 3/8″ Circle Punch or the Circle dies from the Stylish Shapes dies. You could also change your shape; it doesn’t necessarily have to be circles. Just keep in mind whatever image you add to your center must fit through the punched opening.
Here are the measurements so you can create your own fun wobble cards or not wobble the choice is yours.
