Looking for Graduation Fun Fold Cards Check This Out!

graduation fun fold cards

If you are looking for fun graduation fun fold cards, then I think I have you covered with today’s double step card. This card is super easy to put together and will stand out in the crowd of cards that your graduate will receive.   Creative card folding techniques like this may look technical, but this is a pretty basic card to put together.  I’ll give you the measurements and some directions below in this post.  If you would like to see a video tutorial, please let me know and I’ll put it on my list.

To create this card, I used the Cap & Gown stamp set, which is an online exclusive set.  You will not find this stamp set in the Stampin’ Up! catalog only in my online store.  I also used the Alphabet A La Mode Dies for the graduation year.  I used the adhesive sheets on the backside of the Real Red cardstock, so the numbers were easy to adhere to the front panel.

First let’s start with the card base which is 5 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ scored at 3/4″, 1 1/2″, and at 3 1/2″.  You will fold this so the 3/4″ step is facing you.  You can see in this photo how you will fold your card base.

The two front step panels are 3″ X 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ and at 8″, this is the larger front panel, and the smaller panel is 2″ X 7″ scored at 3 1/2″ and at 6 1/2″.  Fold on the score lines and adhere to the front step and to the backside of your card base. The score line closest to the bottom edge on the backside of your card helps in the curvature of the card.

The black panels are 2 3/4″ X 4″ and the smaller is 1 3/4″ X 3 1/4″.   The finished white panels are 2 5/8″ X 3 7/8″ and the smaller panel is 1 5/8″ X 3 1/8″.

The final measurements of the card do fit inside a regular A2 envelope and are 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″. The inside of the card is narrow, but you have enough space to write or stamp your sentiment and sign your name. This inside basic white piece is 1 3/4″ X 5 1/4″.

To finish off the front I used the black sparkle gems which is part of the Adhesive-backed Sparkle Gems pack. I must have my bling and you may notice a little sparkle on the graduate’s hat as well.

There you have it, simple graduation fun fold cards that are sure to put a smile on the graduate’s face. Okay, so maybe not the card but the cash inside sure will. Are you looking for more creative card folding techniques? If so, let me know. I would like to know what things you are looking for, whether it be techniques, fun folds, scrapbook pages, 3D projects etc. I would like for my blog to be a guide in your crafting projects.

Also, a little side note I noticed when stamping my graduation gown and hat. If you stamp the hat image close to the gown it creates a heart shape, which I thought was cool.

Yes, I would like a video of the Graduation Card. I can’t seem to fit the pieces together and still make it stand.

That is an awesome graduation card, Glenda. I think a video would help with the assembly to make it easier to put together. Hope you get time to make one. Thanks.
