Want to spice up your card? This print is all Pecan Pie and Basic White; so, all I did was grab my Stampin’ Blends and went to town coloring in the image. You could really create a quick card by just adding it to the Pecan Pie card base, stamp your sentiment, add a bit of bling and you are done. I wanted to take it a bit further and colored it in. You will find the PDF file for this card below in this blog post. The list of blends that I used are in the shopping list. Also, I have a tip for you when coloring this printed paper with the Blends, they due tend to bleed out a bit; not sure why. It could be that the printed paper is a bit thinner than cardstock and smoother so nothing for the ink to grab onto; not sure. So, with that being said; you may want to stay a bit inside the lines of the print and let the blends bleed into place.  You can see on my card that in some spots I did get a bit of bleeding outside of the lines; but I was okay with that.  I did add a few layers of blends to the leaves to, so they were saturated with the Daffodil Delight and Old Olive blends.

You may be asking how did I get those Pecan Pie splotches on the card front like that? Surprise, they are printed on the paper no need to splotch your card front it is already done for you. I love this printed technique as it takes the starkness out of the Basic White background. This is a technique that you can do with markers or the ink refills and the water painters, but no need as it is done for you.

It may be kind of hard to see in the photo, but I actually used two colors of pearls from the Festive Pearls pack; gold and pink.  I added the pink ones to the flower centers and the gold ones around the outside edge of the image.  You can color your image any colors that you like but for me these little flowers were Petal Pink in my head for some reason so that is what I went with.  What colors do you see when you look at the print as a blank canvas?

The sentiment is from the Notes of Nature stamp set and stamped with Pecan Pie ink.
