Negative Image Punch Art

Friday, May 25, 2012

I have another punch art card for you today. This is a very simple card and another great way to use your punches. This is what I call the Negative Image punch art:

Instead of using the punched piece you use the negative left behind. On this card we used the Blossom punch #125603 $16.95 to punch a flower out of the Whisper White Polka dot impressioned paper (this was done by placing a piece of Whisper White card stock in the Perfect Polka Dots impressions folder and running it thru the Big Shot). We then used dimensionals to pop it up on top of the Beyond the Garden DSP. The little center flower was made using the soon to be retired Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch #122464 $23.95.

This card was done the same way except the Blossom punch was used to punch out the Beyond the Garden DSP and popped up on the Whisper White card stock using dimensionals.

Here are the 2 cards:

Only 6 more days remain to get these retiring products before they are gone for good!

I love doing the negative image but I have the hardest time centering the punch in the middle of the paper. Any helpful hints?
