These creative card sketches are simple to follow, yet versatile enough for any occasion. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned stamper, you’ll love how these easy card sketches from The Stamp Camp save time while still giving you professional-looking results.
Yesterday on my Facebook page, I shared a survey asking which paper pack you’d like me to feature in this week’s card sketch. The winner was the Autumn Toile Suite Collection! This gorgeous suite includes not one but two bundles—the Amber Autumn Bundle and the Autumn Trees Bundle—along with coordinating Earthen Toned Metallic 12” x 12” Paper, Irregular Weave Trim, and Streaked Dots.

Now that you’ve seen the sketch, let’s dive into some fun and creative ways to use this week’s layout! I’ll be sharing different variations so you can see how versatile it is—whether you’re working with the Autumn Toile Suite Collection or mixing in papers and embellishments you already have on hand.
Card #1 – Following the Sketch
I always like to start with a card that follows the sketch exactly, keeping it simple with the basic card base and layered pieces. For this card, I chose Early Espresso cardstock for the base (5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”). The next layer is Cajun Craze cardstock cut to 4” x 5 ¼”.
On top of that, I added two strips of Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper, each cut to 1 ¾” x 5”. The center focal point also comes directly from the Autumn Toile DSP and is cut to 2 ½” x 3 ¼”. This piece is layered onto Very Vanilla cardstock (2 ¾” x 3 ½”) and then matted again with Early Espresso cardstock (3” x 3 ¾”).
For the sentiment, I used a greeting from the Amber Autumn Bundle, die-cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies. To make it pop, I added a strip of Cajun Craze cardstock behind it, then attached it to the card front with dimensionals. A few of the Streaked Dots were the perfect finishing touch, adding just the right amount of texture and shine.
This first card is clean, classic, and a great example of how easy it is to use the sketch as a starting point while letting the beautiful Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper shine.
To finish the inside of the card, I added a simple strip of the Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper along the edge. This little touch helps tie the front design to the inside and gives the card a more polished, coordinated look.
Card #2 – A Fun Fold Variation
Card #2 may have a similar overall look to the sketch and Card #1, but it introduces some fun new folds with the designer series paper and a unique focal point on the front. I started with an Early Espresso card base (4 ¼” x 5 ½”). The Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper is cut to 6” x 5 ¼” and scored at 2”. After adhering it to the card base, the folded-over section sits on the card front, giving the look of layered strips of designer paper.
The focal point is actually a mini card! It measures 3 ½” x 5” and is scored at 2 ½”. This mini card is layered onto a Very Vanilla cardstock mat (3 ¾” x 2 ¾”) and attached to the inside of the main card. The designer paper on the mini card is 2 ¼” x 3 ¼” and opens in the opposite direction, allowing the flap on the left-hand side of the main card to slip neatly inside the mini card.
For the sentiment, I used a greeting from the Amber Autumn Bundle, carefully hand-cut around the words “Autumn Wishes” and popped it up over a piece of Irregular Weave Trim for a soft, textured accent.
To complete the card, I stamped the inside sentiment from the Amber Autumn Bundle on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock (2 ¼” x 3 ¼”) using Early Espresso ink. This ties the inside to the front of the card while keeping the design clean and coordinated.
Card #3 – A Z-Fold with Multiple Sentiments
Card #3 might look a bit tricky at first, but it’s actually quite easy—and what I love most about this design is that it lets you showcase three different sentiments, making it perfect for showing love and appreciation to the recipient.
The card base is Early Espresso (5 ½” x 8 ½”), scored at 2 1/8” and 4 ¼”. Start by folding the card in half, then fold the 2 1/8” section back toward the folded edge to create a Z-fold.
Next, add two strips of Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper (1 7/8” x 5 ¼”) to the front and the folded-back section. For the inside, cut a piece of Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper measuring 4” x 10 ½”, scored at 5 ¼”. Fold along the score line and adhere it inside the card.
For the focal point on the card front, I cut a piece of Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper (2 ½” x 3 ½”) and layered it onto Very Vanilla cardstock (2 ¾” x 3 ¾”) and then onto Early Espresso cardstock (3” x 4”). Using the Autumn Trees Bundle, I die-cut a piece of Early Espresso cardstock and adhered the deer images along the bottom edge of the focal point for a charming, dimensional touch.
For the sentiment, I cut a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock (½” x 2 ½”) and stamped the greeting in Early Espresso ink, placing it on the card front to complement the focal point without overwhelming the design.
To create the little message on the Designer Series Paper piece inside the card, I cut a square of Autumn Toile DSP (2 ½” x 2 ½”) and layered a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock (2 ¼” x 2 ¼”) on top. I stamped another sentiment on the Very Vanilla layer and added a die-cut deer from the Autumn Trees Bundle for a coordinated and charming finishing touch.
Finally, when you open up the piece of Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper that’s attached to the inside, you’ll see your final sentiment along with plenty of space to write a personal note to your recipient. For this, I used a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock measuring 3 ¾” x 5”. This keeps the inside simple, clean, and perfectly coordinated with the card front.
