what can you do with envelopes and card bases together

Question of the week – What can you do with envelopes and card bases together? Well join me this Thursday night, December 15 at 8:00PM EST on my YouTube Channel “The Stamp Camp” and I’ll show you what!   Here is the link to the live class: https://youtu.be/lHuZF3HUXWQ

In this week’s class I’m going to show you how to make gift card envelopes, boxes, and bags from the In Color cards and envelopes for making cards.  You may have overlooked this item in the catalog but after checking out my class I’m sure you’ll want to order a pack so you can make these beautiful projects.  You will find the cards and envelopes for making cards pack on page 137 of the annual catalog; they are the Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes.

For my ensemble I used the Starry Sky and Orchid Oasis cards and envelopes but in the class I’ll mix up the colors.

Check out this box or bag created with the Orchid Oasis card base.  Isn’t it just beautiful and just a little something maybe for a teacher, neighbor or bus driver for Christmas?  If you want it more Christmasy I’ll show you something during that class that might just be what you were looking for.  There is so much more to you can do with cards and envelopes for making cards than you think.

The beautiful flower and oval die on the front are from the Framed Florets Bundle; have you ordered it yet?  This bundle is a staple in my craft room; that’s for sure.  I love me a good oval die and the ones in this bundle are beautiful and have nice details when you use the to die cut your papers.

What fits inside this?  Well I have a couple of Ghirardelli chocolates wrapped up inside but you could easily fit a homemade cookie or even jewelry depending on who you are gifting this for.

Check out this beautiful box created from a card base.  Who wouldn’t love to receive this beauty?  Perfect for so many different occasions; birthday, Mother’s Day, Wedding Day, Anniversary, or even Christmas.  This box definitely holds more than the box/bag I showed first so it is the perfect size if you needed a bigger box for your gift.  What do I have inside my box?

Well I just put in some more of those delicious Ghirardelli Chocolates inside, but you can see that you can fit something bigger in this box.   You could fit a whole necklace and ear rings inside this box.  The beautiful oval on the front of this box is actually the belly band to hold the box closed.

This looks like a card but it is really a card and gift card holder all in one.  This was created with an envelope from the pack and you will see on Thursday night just how easy and sweet this card/gift card holder comes together.  Again I used the Framed Florets bundle on my card front for the oval and the sentiment.  The ribbon and the dots are all from the In Color family.

This card/gift card holder uses both the cards and envelopes for making cards combined.   This too is a card and gift card holder together so I call this a twofer.  You get your card and a gift card holder all in one.  The sentiment on this card is from the Framed Florets stamp set and again I used the In Color ribbon and the dots.  The sentiment was die cut with a circle and the mat is the Label Me Lovely punch.

This just looks like a typical card but it really is a card portfolio which holds 2 notecards and envelopes.  This is the perfect gift for someone who you just want to give a little something too.  It can hold gift cards or can be enclosed with a gift for the recipient to use and give with their gifts to someone else.  What does the inside look like?

These are the two notecards and envelopes that fit on the inside of your portfolio.  These can hold a gift cards or the recipient could use them to give to someone as s gift as well.  This little portfolio can be a multi-person gift depending on how you use it or they use it.  Isn’t it pretty and they all match so beautifully when you use the In Color cards and envelopes for making cards for something else like this.
