Slimline Christmas Cards and Gift Card Holder All In One!

slim line Christmas Cards gift card holder

Today’s Slimline Cards are more than just Christmas Cards they are a gift card holder or money holder all in one.  But, that’s not all these babies fit perfectly inside the Stampin’ Up! Slimline Envelopes sold on page 137 of the annual catalog.  They are sold in a package of 15 envelopes 5 each in 3 colors: Soft Succulent, Smoky Slate and White.   You will notice the flap on my envelope is decorated as well.  I just used a strip of the designer series paper on the flap and trimmed off the excess following the envelope pattern.

Today’s card features the Santas Express Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!  The card base is Shaded Spruce cut 8 1/2″ X 9″ scored at 3 1/2″ and at 7″.  The 2″ flap is tucked inside to create the pocket for your gift card or money or check.  The Basic White cardstock is cut 3 1/4″ X 8 1/4″ and the designer series paper is 3″ X 8″.

To create the belly band I used the 2″ X 8 1/2″ piece that was cut off to create the card base and used it for the belly band.  I then die cut a Stylish Shapes Large square die cut from a scrap piece of the Shaded Spruce cardstock.  The little Santa in the Train was die cut from the designer series paper with the coordinating die from the Santa’s Delivery Bundle.

I used the Stylish Shapes Banner die to die cut my sentiment and adhered it between the square and the belly band.  It really is a quick and easy way to make a gift card holder or money holder for any occasion; just change your designer paper.

Here is the inside section so you can see where I folded that 2″ flap inside the card and adhered the sides to create the pocket for your check, money or gift card.  I also added a piece of Basic White 1 3/4″ X 8 1/4″ to write or stamp your sentiment on and added just a bit of the designer paper to the side just to bring it all together.  This piece was 1 3/4″ X 2″.
