Have you tried to create slimline cards & envelopes yet? In the current mini catalog on pages 52 and 53 you will find samples and details on this current new phase of card making. These types of cards have been around for a while but it seems they are drawing attention again.
The sentiment on today’s card is part of the Slim Sayings stamp set which you will find in the mini catalog on page 52. This stamp set is also sold in a bundle called Slim Sayings Bundle which has slim card dies and decorative edge dies. I love all the samples shown in the mini with this bundle and did you notice the graduation sentiment in the stamp set? That was what I used on my One Sheet Wonder graduation cards a few weeks back. You will find that video on my YouTube Channel “The Stamp Camp” if you missed it.
You can create slimline cards in a variety of sizes; there really is no specific size. Basically whatever works for your layout, stamp set or die designs. What about envelopes? You will find slimline envelopes on page 53 of the mini catalog. There are 15 envelopes in the package and they are 3 7/8″ X 8 7/8″ in size and are sold in 3 colors Soft Succulent, White, and Smoky Slate; you will get 5 of each color.
For today’s card I used the Heart & Home Designer Series paper which was left over from other cards and the Heart & Home Doily. See what you can do with those left over strips of Designer Series Paper. Again the sentiment is from the Slim Sayings stamp set and the flowers were scraps of cardstock punched with the Flowers and Leaves punch.
