Welcome to Week #49 of my Stamp Camp Card Sketches!
Today’s sketch is perfect for beginner stamping card ideas using paper pieces—and if you’re anything like me, you probably have a stash of designer series paper scraps that are just too pretty to throw away. This sketch is a great way to put those bits and pieces to good use while creating beautiful, cohesive cards with ease.
Both of today’s cards feature the Lovely Blossoms Suite of products, and they are designed using the same measurements. Of course, one of the best things about card sketches is their flexibility—you can easily adjust the sizes and layout to fit what you have on hand or to create a slightly different look.
Before we take a closer look at each of these cards, let’s talk about the card sketch itself and how you can save it for future inspiration.
All of my card sketches are available in the photo gallery right here on my blog. Simply click on the Photo Gallery, then select Weekly Card Sketches, and you’ll find each design ready for you to download. Just click on the download option to print and save it for a rainy day—or for those moments when you need a little creative jumpstart.
Card sketches are such a helpful tool, especially for beginners. They take the guesswork out of designing and give you a solid starting point while still allowing room for your own creativity. Whether you follow the sketch exactly or use it as inspiration, it’s a simple way to make cardmaking fun and stress-free.

Card #1
For Card #1, I kept things simple and classic—perfect for beginners!
The card base is Secret Sea, cut to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″. I added a layer of Basic White measuring 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ to help those designer paper pieces really stand out.
The Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper was cut into small rectangles measuring 1 1/2″ x 2″. This is where this sketch really shines—you can mix and match your paper scraps to create a beautiful focal point without needing large pieces.
From there, it’s all about simple embellishing. For this card, I used the coordinating dies from the Lovely Arrangements Bundle to create the sentiment piece. To add a little softness and texture, I folded a piece of Cloud Cover ribbon behind the sentiment.
To finish it off, I added a few Cloud Cover Moody Palette Glossy Dots for just the right touch of sparkle.
And that’s it! A quick and easy card that’s perfect for sending to a friend—and a great reminder that simple designs can still be absolutely beautiful.
Card #2
Card #2 uses the exact same measurements as Card #1, making this sketch super easy to replicate and perfect for batch creating.
The only difference is the card base, which is Petal Pink, giving this version a softer, more delicate feel. I also switched up the prints from the Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper, showing just how versatile this layout can be depending on the patterns you choose.
For the focal point, I stamped and die cut a flower using the Lovely Arrangements Bundle. I paired it with a simple “thank you” sentiment, also cut using the coordinating dies, to keep the design clean and elegant.
To finish the card, I added a few Basic White Moody Palette Glossy Dots for a subtle touch of dimension and shine.
Same sketch, same measurements—just a few small changes for a completely different look!
