The Stamp Camp’s Easy Card Sketch Templates for Stress-Free Stamping

easy card sketch templates for the beginner stamper

It’s Week #42 in my card sketch series, and today’s easy card sketch templates are all about keeping your crafting simple and stress-free.

If you’ve ever sat down at your stamping table and thought, “I just need something quick and easy,” this layout is for you! This simple card design works beautifully with any designer series paper you have on hand. No complicated layers. No fussy cutting. Just a clean, classic layout that lets your paper shine.

For today’s two cards, I used the gorgeous Easter Joy Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Nature Walk Designer Series Paper & Sticker Sheets. Both came together so easily — and this sketch is absolutely perfect when you’re in a hurry but still want a beautiful handmade card.

Be sure to download and print this week’s sketch so you’ll have a great resource at your fingertips whenever you’re looking for inspiration or quick card ideas.

Card #1 – Nature Walk Designer Series Paper (No Stamping Required!)

easy card sketch templates from the stamp camp

Card #1 follows the sketch exactly — and the best part? No stamping involved!

I used the beautiful Nature Walk Designer Series Paper & Sticker Sheets for this card. This paper does all the work for you, especially when paired with the coordinating sticker sheet.

Measurements & Details:

  • Card Base: Basic Beige – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″

  • Designer Series Paper: 4″ x 5 1/4″

To create the layout:

  1. Cut the 4″ x 5 1/4″ designer paper corner to corner diagonally in both directions.

  2. Flip the top and bottom triangle pieces to the opposite sides.

  3. Adhere all pieces to the card front, leaving a small gap around each section so the Basic Beige card base shows through.

This little gap adds subtle definition and keeps the layout looking clean and balanced.

For the focal point, I used the Stylish Shapes Dies to die cut a circle from Old Olive cardstock. Then I simply added one of the coordinating stickers to the center — quick and easy!

To finish off the card front, I added a few Faux Bronze Pentagons for just the right amount of texture and shine.

Card #2 – Easter Joy Specialty Designer Series Paper

Card #2 features the beautiful Easter Joy Specialty Designer Series Paper along with the coordinating Easter Basket Bundle.

The measurements are exactly the same as Card #1 — the only difference is I turned the layout and made the card horizontal instead of vertical. This small change gives the sketch a completely different feel while keeping everything just as simple.

Measurements & Details:

  • Card Base: Balmy Blue – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″

  • Designer Series Paper: 4″ x 5 1/4″ (cut and arranged following the same sketch design)

For the focal point, I stamped the bunny from the Easter Basket Bundle onto Basic White cardstock using Black Memento ink. I colored him with the Pretty in Pink Blend and added a sweet little carrot for that perfect spring touch.

The sentiment, “Hello Spring,” is also from the Easter Basket Bundle and fits beautifully with this layout.

To finish the card, I added a couple of the Pretty in Pink Gingham Easter Assortments for a soft decorative detail that ties everything together.
