Weekend Shenanigans and Special Paper Pumpkin Guest Stamper

Are you crafting this weekend? If so, with who? This was the question of the weekend, I posted on my Facebook page.  I was pleasantly surprised by the number of people who responded to my post.  It was so much fun to see what everyone was up to.  There were many who were attending a special stamping weekend with lots of crafters and many who were crafting at home by themselves.  Any way you craft it is always a great way to relax, have fun, and especially think of family and friends who will enjoy getting your cards or projects.

So, with that question I decided to post my weekend shenanigans with you all today.  It was a cottage weekend with a couple of our kids and our grandkids.  So, we had a semi-filled cottage plus 3 big dogs!

cottage living

A cottage favorite is fishing!  We all love fishing and the fish were really biting this weekend.  I think if Jaxon actually had a worm on his hook he would have caught a fish without even trying!

Sophia was the top fisherwomen this weekend catching a pile of Bluegill, Sunfish and a  couple of Bass.  She was pretty worn out from reeling in all those fish this weekend.    She loves to fish with her papa and can sit for hours fishing.

Besides fishing Sophia loves to stamp with grandma and the Paper Pumpkin kits are perfect for traveling and working on at the cottage.    When the girls get bored breaking out a box of stamping supplies keeps them busy for a while.   This weekend I pulled out the Welcome Inn kit and Sophia went to town making up all the cards in the kit.  We did change up the sentiments for some of the cards; so she could give them to her friends for birthday’s and teacher’s at school.  She said her art teacher was going to LOVE IT!

For being 6 years old I think Sophia did a fabulous job and the recipients are going to love them, I’m sure.   I gifted Sophia a years subscription to the Paper Pumpkin kits and she loves getting that little orange box or brown box in the mail each and every month.   Grandma splurged on this gift that’s for sure, but I know how much she loves crafting and I do too, so it is something we can do together that she will remember forever.   Giselle is starting to like stamping as well but she is still a bit too little, probably next year.
