Each month at my Downline meeting I give my girls a challenge to complete and bring back?to the next meeting.? I really look forward to this and I think it gets everyone involved and brings out everyone’s own creative style.? We do not all create the same, we do not all like the same color combinations, layouts etc so this is a good way to see different styles and try new things we might not ever do otherwise.? Even in my workshops I stress that I don’t necessarily want to teach you my style but how to use the different products and techniques and you take it and build on it according to your own likes and dislikes.
Last month I gave each?person a Sketch Challenge layout I found on the Splitcoast website and told them to take it home and choose their own color combinations and stamp sets and come back with the card they made using the layout.
Here is the Sketch layout I sent them home with:
This was Rachel’s take on the challenge. I like how she used double ribbon instead of the card stock piece. I also like the use of the chipboard and how she removed the prongs on the Rhinestone brad and just attached the little jewel to the center of her flower, NICE!??

This was Christi’s take on the sketch. I love how she took the sketch and flipped it, the color combination, the use of the Pretties kit, paper piercing and brads all tie this card together just Beautifully! Another very nice card!
Didn’t they all do a wonderful job!? Look at all the different looks and feel you can get and we all used the same layout, but each person has their own style and flare.? I love how everyone used different products, techniques and stamp sets all very unique and nicely done.? Wouldn’t you like to join our crafty group??
