Do you need a birthday card that the kids will love? Check out today’s fun fold birthday card featuring the Hot Air Balloon Bundle and the Lighter Than Air 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper pack.   This fun fold card is super easy to put together and with the pretty pastel prints it is sure to be a hit at any birthday party.   No worries about the PDF file because I have you covered for that as well.  You can find it below in this blog post.

My granddaughter Sophia was over for Sunday dinner, and she has been invited to a birthday party and needed a card.  What better place to go looking for a card than Grandma’s house.  When she said she needed a card, I knew right away she would love this hot air balloon card, just because of the colors in the printed paper.

The Hot Air Balloon Bundle has dies in it that you can use to die cut the balloons from the prints and it also has that cute banner die for the sentiment and the mat.

This is how the card looks when it is sitting on your desk or table slightly opened.  You can see how the front 2 panels sort of interlock for closing.   To achieve this technique you will need to apply a row of dimensionals along the right-hand side of the Hot Air Balloon panel, so it is raised slightly so the left-hand panel can easily slide behind this panel.

The card base is thick Basic White and it is scored and folded like a Z-fold fun fold card on both sides.  The Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper is attached to a couple pieces of the Lemon Lolly cardstock as is the banner piece under the sentiment.

I added a couple of the Bubble Bath Rainbow Adhesive-backed Dots to the sentiment pieces as well.

For the inside Hot Air Balloon I used the dies from the coordinating bundle to die cut out my balloon and the little basket.  From this view you can now see how the front is folded and how those panels are attached.

A super sweet fun fold birthday card that I’m sure would be a hit at any birthday party.

My Customer Appreciation for March:

stamping special ribbon holders

My 3D printer has been buzzing getting ready for this months customer appreciation special.  Do you have a spot or a way of storing your ribbon and twine spools?  If not check out this combo ribbon/twine storage system.  My combo ribbon and twine holder will hold up to 7 spools of ribbon depending on the size of the spool and 4 spools of twine or thread.  This is perfect to sit on your desk and keep your spools in order and upright or place on a shelf.

Do you have the White Open Storage Cube from Stampin’ Up! with the Topper Storage?  If not you can check it out on page 124 of the annual catalog.  This is a cube that you can store ink pads, ribbon, adhesives, small embellishments and more.  I’ve taken my ribbon storage system and made them to fit inside the cube and with the topper storage you have the space on top to hold my ribbon storage system as well. (check out what I’m talking about in the photo below.). Yes the bottom ribbon storage system has the twine/thread spool holder inside; you will just need to slide it out of the cube to get at the spools when needed.

To get one of my Ribbon  holders you will need to place a min. $75.00 online order with me and use the host code.  If you would like two holders you will need to submit a min. $150.00 order and no need to use the host code.  I will send you the ribbon holder(s) free of charge.  I will however need you to email me with your color choice; baby blue, mint green,  or purple.  If I don’t hear from you or if you do not respond to my email regarding your ribbon holder, I will assume you do not want the holder.
