Six Stunning One Sheet Wonder Cards With Forever Love Print

fun fold cards one sheet wonder cards with designer series paper

This week’s One Sheet Wonder cards feature the Forever Love Specialty Designer Series Paper which is part of my Stamp Camp At Home Card Club for this month.  If you are new to my blog, every Thursday night on my YouTube Channel “The Stamp Camp” at 8:00PM EST  I will create a card or cards using a single sheet of designer series paper.  These cards will be fun fold cards or maybe just a different type of layout, but will use up the whole sheet of printed paper.  Then on Friday I will post the cards on my blog showcasing each one, so you can see them up close.

This month in my club I’m featuring the Forever Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, the Gold Simply Elegant Trim and the Petal Pink & Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems, and club members will get the contents to create 8 cards, 2 of 4 different designs.  They also get a step by step video tutorial, the written PDF file as well as bonus PDF files and videos all month long.  Every Thursday night the One Sheet Wonder cards will feature the paper from the club, and they will be able to download the Project Sheet and the pattern.

Now let’s take a closer look at these Fun Fold Cards:

This was the first card I did in the video.  Each of the six cards has the exact same card bases, fold, and designer series paper pieces the only difference is how I decorated the front with the sentiments and die cut pieces.  So, I will generally go from the simplest to a more stepped-up version.  The sentiment on this card is from the coordinating Lifetime of Love Bundle and the die cut pieces are from the Thoughtful Expressions dies.   I thought these dies paired well with the paper prints in this pack and they are so pretty and elegant just like all the specialty prints in the pack.  You may be asking, why are these prints specialty prints?  When the printed papers say specialty papers it means there is either a gold foiling in the prints or silver or even flocking; there is something special about the paper it isn’t just a regular pack of paper.

This fold is what I would like to call a book binding Z fold card, as it incorporates both of those types of fun folds.   It is really easy to do and just gives a new and interesting way of opening the card.

The inside is just as pretty as the front with the designer series paper carried to the inside of the card, and you still have a nice space to stamp or write your message.

For the second card I wanted to just showcase the pretty paper and not have a sentiment on the front, but instead used another print from the paper pack and I hand cut out the bouquet.  There are a couple of prints in this paper pack that have beautiful bouquets you can hand cut out or use the coordinating dies to die cut them out.  I like to have cards in my stash that do not have any sentiments on them, so I can pull these cards anytime I need a quick card and make it for a specific occasion.

For this card I showcased one of the bouquet prints I hand cut from the pack with a sentiment from the coordinating bundle.  You will notice on each card I used the Gold Simply Elegant Trim and the Pretty Peacock Foil Gems to accent the die cut pieces.

For this card I used the Stylish Shapes Circle die and the Gold Vine die cut is part of the coordinating Lifetime of Love Bundle.  This vine die cut is really fine and intricate so I used the adhesive sheets onto the backside of the Gold Foil before I ran it through my Cut & Emboss Machine.  I didn’t want the leaves to have the adhesive on the back so I only ran a strip of the adhesive sheet down the center of my Foil paper; so the only portion that has the adhesive is the parts of the die cut that don’t have the leaves.

You will notice the sentiment on this one is not from the coordinating bundle but from the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set.  I wanted a different sentiment and I liked how this one fit inside the circle and fine die cut piece.

I liked the look of the circle under the vine die cut, but thought I might like a bit more gold to come through; so I added the scalloped gold die cut piece behind the circle. The bouquet on this card and the two single flowers on the sympathy card were all stamped onto Pretty Peacock using Versamark ink and then heat embossed with Gold embossing powder and then die cut out with the coordinating dies.  So, if you do not enjoy hand cutting you can use the dies or if you want more bouquets you can stamp and emboss them, like I did.  I will say the Pretty Peacock paper and ink is not available to order at this time; there is a supplier issue and I’m not sure when it will be back in stock.

The final card of the night is a Birthday card for my sister.  Her birthday is coming up soon and I loved this print and paper so decided I would create it for her.  I wanted a larger scripted Happy Birthday sentiment so went digging through my stamp sets until I came across the Bold Bouquet stamp set and there it was the perfect script and fit for my card.  I had to change the way I attached the gold fine die cut piece so my sentiment would work, but I actually think I like it better this way.  The single flowers were stamped, embossed, and die cut just as the other two cards were done.

My Customer Appreciation for March:

stamping special ribbon holders

My 3D printer has been buzzing getting ready for this months customer appreciation special.  Do you have a spot or a way of storing your ribbon and twine spools?  If not check out this combo ribbon/twine storage system.  My combo ribbon and twine holder will hold up to 7 spools of ribbon depending on the size of the spool and 4 spools of twine or thread.  This is perfect to sit on your desk and keep your spools in order and upright or place on a shelf.

Do you have the White Open Storage Cube from Stampin’ Up! with the Topper Storage?  If not you can check it out on page 124 of the annual catalog.  This is a cube that you can store ink pads, ribbon, adhesives, small embellishments and more.  I’ve taken my ribbon storage system and made them to fit inside the cube and with the topper storage you have the space on top to hold my ribbon storage system as well. (check out what I’m talking about in the photo below.). Yes the bottom ribbon storage system has the twine/thread spool holder inside; you will just need to slide it out of the cube to get at the spools when needed.
